The Cascada BIO-water System is fed with partially purified water. It produces extremely high ultrapure water for life science applications, suitable for all molecular, pharmaceutical, and microbiological applications. No volatile organic compounds could be detected in the product water.

A Cascada BIO-water System was fed with water from a Cascada RO-water System with a conductivity of 42 µS/cm and a TOC of 50 ppb C. The unit was operated intermittently and product water dispensed to simulate typical use patterns. Samples were taken at intervals and analyzed by purge and trap GC-MS. The analysis was carried out by Balazs Analytical Services (Fremont, CA, USA).
