The Enchant Multi-Protein Affinity Separation Kit includes all of the components necessary to fractionate albumin and IgG from 50 µL of human serum or plasma. The HSA and IgG Fractionation resins utilize unique ligands coupled to a solid support resulting in highly specific removal of the target protein(s). This kit is designed for single use which eliminates the possibility of sample cross contamination from reusing the device/column. The centrifugal spin filters included in the kit provide for fast and efficient removal of ~80% of the total protein content found in human serum or plasma, allowing for easier detection of moderate to low abundant proteins. Additionally, if the bound proteins need to be analyzed downstream, they can be eluted from the device for analysis.

The Enchant Multi-Protein Affinity Separation Kit is designed to remove albumin and IgG from 50 µL of human serum or plasma samples. The removal of the two most abundant proteins in serum or plasma:

• Increases the protein resolution of both 1D and 2D gel electrophoresis allowing for the visualization of smaller, lower abundant proteins.
• Facilitates biomarker discovery by removing > 80% of the total protein content (sample complexity reduction).
• Provides more efficient chromatographic separations.
• Provides cleaner mass spectrograms allowing easier protein/peptide identification.

Albumin and IgG Double Depletion from Human Serum and Plasma Using the Enchant™ Multi-Protein Affinity Separation Kit

Percent depletion of albumin and IgG was tested both at the low and high concentration ends of these proteins in plasma/serum. The normal range for human serum albumin is 30 - 50 mg/mL and for IgG it is 6 - 16 mg/mL.
